"I am Canadian, a free Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship God in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, free to choose those who govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind." These were the words said by John Diefenbaker, the 13th Prime Minister of Canada in the House of Commons Debates, on July 1st, 1960 And where we are now, sixty-two years down the road? Are you, a Canadian, still free to speak without fear? No, you are not. I've heard and seen so many stories of people who spoke their opinions - and got punished for just doing that. They lost their jobs, got canceled, de-platformed, suspended. They lost their careers or businesses, got publicly shamed, doxxed, threatened... We have seen and keep seeing this happening. And how many, many more people are no longer speaking? They don't speak at work; they don't speak in public; they don't even speak on social media because they are afraid to violate some "community standards," for God's sake! Because now they have that fear that I, a Canadian, a free Canadian, was never supposed to have. Are you, a Canadian, free to worship God in your own way? No, you are not anymore. You were made to believe that worshipping God in your own way will make someone feel "offended". You were made to say "happy holidays" and "seasonal greetings" instead of "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Easter". You were made to believe that you gathering in churches "spread dangerous disease." You were made to believe that your Church is "bad" and maybe even your God should no longer be mentioned at all. You have been asked to think that perhaps we should remove the mention of God from our Charter of Rights. And maybe we should remove God from our lives altogether? Maybe we should render God obsolete? Politically incorrect? Anti-science? We are slowly but persistently are being pushed to abandon God altogether. Who do you think in this universe would like you to do that? The Devil surely would. Are you, a Canadian, is free to stand for what you think is right? Free to oppose what you believe is wrong? No, you are not. Today the government of this country is telling you that you are only allowed to stand for what THEY think is right. And if you dare to oppose that, if you dare to stand and support what YOU think is right - they will call you a "terrorist", arrest you and freeze your bank account. How is that for being free? How is that for being a Canadian? Are you, a Canadian, still free to choose those who govern your country? No, you are not. You can still vote, yes, but over and over and over again, you are voting just to find that those who you chose to represent you and govern you for YOUR good - they betray you, they don't listen to you, they don't want to hear you, they don't want to see you, and they govern your country with seemingly the only goal to line up their own pockets. And there is nothing that you can do about it. If you are trying so desperately to be heard and seen - you are only told, "yeah, yeah, we heard you - now go back to work, we don't want you here, you don't belong here." So how did it all happen to us? Why in those sixty-two years we, Canadians, have lost that precious heritage of freedom? Why are we being told now that "freedom" somehow is a bad word that belongs to "ultra-right"? And why we have broken that pledge to uphold freedom for ourselves and all mankind? Wake up, Canadian, wake up and fight back. The time is now. Do not stay silent. Do not be in fear. It is YOUR duty now to uphold your freedom - as your fathers and grandfathers did before you. Make no mistake, those who want to take away your freedom are not your friends. They are many, they are loud, and they think they are strong and fearsome. But God is on our side - because THEY despise, mock and reject God. And God will always prevail above Devil. The good will always prevail above evil. And freedom will always prevail in our Canada.
